Choose from the many paths that not only offer a great workout, but also fantastic, panoramic views of the bay and the opportunity to get up close and personal with the lush vegetation,which includes indigenous Cape fynbos. For the more adventurous types, there are numerous caves to explore as well. Why not cool off after in the waves or watch avid surfers duck and dive in one of the most popular surfing spots in Cape Town?
It’s time to do something a little less strenuous now as you wonder along the Main Road strip, popping in periodically to the treasure troves that are Kalk Bay’s antique stores. You can find everything from fine antiques to bric-a-brac, and if books and art are more up your alley, then there are a multitude of galleries and book stores just waiting to be discovered. Enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and delectable pastry at the Olympia Café and Deli, or a late lunch of fish ‘n chips at the famous Kalky’s. There are many eateries to choose from in the area so you’re bound to satisfy your hunger no matter what you’re craving. To round off the day, you can catch the latest theatre offering at the theatre where you can see South African theatrical talent at its finest.
