Every year it sees thousands of local and international participants flock to Cape Town to partake in this one of a kind race. The world’s most beautiful marathon through Cape Peninsula takes place on 4 April 2015, the Saturday before Easter. The first race was held in 1970 and 26 runners participated there, not knowing that this marathon will be known as the world’s most beautiful marathon very soon. Since then, the race has become a national institution and over 30 000 athletes join it every year.
