Its heritage is rich and one can easily walk in the steps of towering icons like Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela.

Not only this, it is home to the top 3 diving sites in South Africa. Aliwal Shoal, Sodwana and Protea Banks. In this province you will also find the Isimangiliso Wetlands Park and the Drakensburg Park, which has been named of the country’s eight magnificent world heritage sites. The beaches of KZN is a travelers dream, for is warm 21 degree Indian Ocean. Great for surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving and fishing.


The provinces urban heart is Durban

– known by most as Durbs or the Miami beach of Africa.  This is the warmest place in Africa. Ghandi spent 2 decades here and not only is it the warmest but it has the hottest curries. (Durban Indian slang calls this “chow”)

Durban also holds the Guinness World Records for the World’s tallest swing – from the stadium. Here you will climb 352 steps to reach the top and swing 80  meters down.
